Eclipse Foundation is an open source community, whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifecycle.
For Linux embedded development we use The Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers runs on top of the Eclipse Platform. The Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers provides advanced functionality for C/C++ developers, including an editor (with syntax highlighting, and code completion), launcher, debugger, search engine and makefile generator.
We use the GNU toolchain Sourcery CodeBench Lite Edition that supports ARM, Thumb, and Thumb-2 compilation for all architectures in active use, including Version 7 of the ARM Architecture.
Since we are specialized in ARM cores, we use GNU ARM Eclipse Plug-in, which is a Eclipse CDT Managed Build Extension for GNU ARM Toolchains like CodeSourcery G++ Lite, GNUARM, WinARM, Yagarto, devkitPro.
For debugging purposes of the target we use the Target Management (RSE) that creates data models and frameworks to configure and manage remote (mainframe down to embedded) systems, their connections, and their services.
